Business Meeting

The business meeting generally runs for 15-20 minutes and follows Roberts Rules of Order. Motions are introduced to floor, seconded, amendements proposed and argued... motions passed or killed off.

Motions are generally frivolous in nature and exist for the sole purpose of furthering debate.

Learning how to participate effectively in a business meeting can help you be more effective at your job or your volunteer capacity. It helps you practice your impromptu speaking skills.

At the end of the business meeting, a Parliamentarian will provide instruction on the finer points of the meeting and answer any questions that people have.
