Evaluations

All meeting functions are evaluated in Toastmasters.

Prepared speeches have designated club members performing verbal evaluations in addition to written evaluations by all members present.

Table topics speeches are evaluated by a designed club member called a Table Topics Evaluator.

The business meeting is evaluated by a Parliamentarian.

The general evaluator provides evaluation of anyone who hasn't been evaluated through the normal course of the meeting.

Evaluation is supportive and generally follows Toastmaster sandwich technique - positive note, point of improvement, supportive note. Even the most experienced speakers can benefit from constructive suggestions!

Joyce Forsythe has graciously provided us with a speech evaluation template. You can view it here.
